Objectives of Yuvalaya
To create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for rural, tribal, and semi-urban adolescents and youth where they can realize, explore and develop their full potential and take an inclusive leadership for making a just, equal and peaceful society. To create opportunities that help them build self-confidence, take leadership roles for societal development, and make informed decisions to become changemaker in their own communities.
Activity based platform
An event is hosted to mobilize youth from rural, tribal, and semi-urban communities. An exploratory activity is conducted at Youth Adda (Open Meet) to discuss issues, aspirations, rights, and other concerns related to the community and its surroundings. Sessions, meetings, and action days are organized to build understanding of these issues. Capacity-building workshops are conducted in different thematic areas.
Selected youth get the opportunity for a five-day group exposure and a 20-day internship, helping them gain practical experience in organizations aligned with their interests. Following the program’s inception, selected youth undertake group and individual action projects to address social issues in their communities.Synergy Sansthan manages this program with three pillars: Knowledge | Social Action | Facilitation.
